SalonSynq Terms of Use
Last updated: 11 June 2026
These Terms of Use apply to salon owners, independent professionals, mobile beauty professionals, team members, and other business users who create or manage a SalonSynq account.
SalonSynq is provided by HarriTeq Ltd trading as SalonSynq. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 16891325. You can contact us at support@salonsynq.co.uk.
1. What SalonSynq provides
SalonSynq provides software tools for salon and beauty businesses, including business profiles, booking links, service setup, team calendars, client bookings, reminders, deposits, payment-related features, cancellation/no-show workflows, reviews, notifications, analytics, and related services.
SalonSynq does not provide salon, beauty, grooming, wellness, or personal care services. Those services are provided by the salon, professional, mobile professional, or business using SalonSynq.
2. Who may use SalonSynq
You may use SalonSynq if you are legally able to enter into these Terms and you use the service for legitimate business purposes. You are responsible for ensuring that your business, services, staff, licences, insurance, tax arrangements, prices, booking terms, and client communications comply with applicable law and professional standards.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login details secure. You must not share access in a way that compromises security or allows unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, except where caused by SalonSynq’s breach of these Terms or negligence.
Team members may have access to parts of your SalonSynq account depending on the permissions and features you enable.
4. Your salon profile and booking page
You are responsible for all information shown on your SalonSynq booking page, including business name, location, logo, images, services, prices, descriptions, durations, availability, staff, booking terms, cancellation policy, deposit requirements, and no-show terms.
You must ensure your booking page is accurate, lawful, not misleading, and kept up to date.
5. Bookings and client relationships
When a client books through SalonSynq, the service contract for the salon, beauty, grooming, wellness, or personal care appointment is between you and the client. SalonSynq provides the platform that helps you manage that booking.
You are responsible for delivering the service, handling client queries, deciding whether to accept or reject appointments where applicable, managing lateness, cancellations, reschedules, refunds, complaints, and any professional or consumer-law obligations.
6. Prices, deposits, cancellation policies, and no-show terms
You are responsible for setting fair, clear, and lawful prices, deposits, cancellation policies, no-show terms, and service terms.
If you use deposits, late cancellation charges, or no-show charges, you must ensure that clients are clearly informed before booking and that any charge is fair, proportionate, and legally enforceable. SalonSynq may provide tools to apply these policies, but you remain responsible for the policy itself and for how you use it.
7. Payments, Stripe, and payouts
Some SalonSynq plans or features allow you to collect payments, deposits, balance payments, or no-show charges. Payment processing is provided by Stripe or another payment provider we support.
To use payment features, you may need to complete payment-provider onboarding and accept the payment provider’s terms. The payment provider may carry out identity, risk, fraud, compliance, and payout checks. SalonSynq is not responsible for payment-provider decisions, delays, reserves, failed payouts, chargebacks, or compliance requirements, except where caused by SalonSynq’s own breach of these Terms.
If you use in-person contactless payment features, including Tap to Pay on iPhone, Tap to Pay on Android, or similar payment acceptance features made available through SalonSynq, you must use them only for legitimate in-person payments for your business. You are responsible for confirming the correct amount before starting payment, following any PIN, fallback payment, receipt, refund, dispute, chargeback, client-service, payment-provider, card-network, platform, and device requirements that apply. These features may require a compatible device, supported operating system, internet access, location permissions, NFC or nearby-device permissions, and acceptance of additional Stripe, Apple, Google, or other provider terms.
SalonSynq does not store full card details. We may store payment references, payment status, invoice metadata, Stripe account/customer identifiers, and related transaction metadata.
8. SalonSynq subscriptions and billing
SalonSynq may offer free and paid plans. Paid plans, subscription invoices, subscription payment methods, upgrades, downgrades, cancellation, and resumption may be managed through your SalonSynq web account, the Apple App Store, Google Play, Stripe, or another approved billing channel shown at the point of purchase.
Unless stated otherwise at the point of purchase, paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You are responsible for cancelling before renewal if you do not want the subscription to continue. Plan changes may affect available features, transaction fees, team limits, reminders, payment collection, deposits, and other functionality.
If you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, your purchase, renewal, cancellation, refund, chargeback, billing issue, and payment method are handled by Apple or Google under their applicable terms. Apple App Store subscriptions must be managed or cancelled through your Apple account subscription settings. Google Play subscriptions must be managed or cancelled through Google Play unless SalonSynq provides an approved in-app or account-management route supported by Google Play. SalonSynq may receive subscription status, product identifiers, transaction identifiers, purchase tokens, signed transaction data, expiry dates, renewal status, cancellation status, refund status, and related metadata from Apple or Google so that we can activate, continue, downgrade, restore, or end paid features.
When you request a downgrade or cancellation, your current paid features may remain available until the end of the current paid billing period, unless the applicable app store, payment provider, law, or purchase terms say otherwise. Refund eligibility is determined by the billing provider used for the purchase, such as Apple, Google, or Stripe.
9. Notifications
SalonSynq may send service notifications to you, your team members, or clients by email, SMS, push notification, or in-app message. These may include booking confirmations, reminders, cancellations, reschedules, payment updates, review prompts, account notices, and security messages.
You are responsible for ensuring that client contact information is accurate and that your use of notifications complies with applicable privacy, marketing, and electronic communications laws. Marketing communications must not be sent through SalonSynq unless permitted by law and the client’s preferences.
10. Data protection
You must comply with applicable data protection laws when using SalonSynq. For client information you collect or manage through SalonSynq, you are usually the controller and SalonSynq is usually a processor providing the platform.
You must only upload or use personal information where you have a lawful basis to do so. You must respond appropriately to client privacy requests and cooperate with SalonSynq where required to handle data protection obligations.
SalonSynq’s processing of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Where required, additional data processing terms may apply.
11. Acceptable use
You must not use SalonSynq to:
- break the law or infringe another person’s rights;
- provide misleading, unsafe, fraudulent, discriminatory, or unlawful services;
- upload malware, abusive content, or unlawful material;
- attempt to bypass security, access another account, scrape data, or overload the platform;
- misuse payment, cancellation, deposit, or no-show features;
- send spam or unlawful marketing;
- damage SalonSynq’s reputation or interfere with other users.
12. User content, reviews, and moderation
You are responsible for business information, images, service descriptions, replies, posts, messages, and other content you upload or publish through SalonSynq. You must not upload or publish content that is abusive, harassing, discriminatory, sexually explicit, unlawful, misleading, spam, fake, infringing, or that exposes another person’s private or sensitive information without permission.
Clients may submit reviews based on genuine appointments. Reviews and business replies should be honest, relevant, and respectful. SalonSynq may hide, remove, restrict, or investigate content, reviews, replies, accounts, or booking pages where we reasonably believe there is a safety, legal, platform-integrity, fraud, privacy, or policy concern.
Users can report objectionable content through available in-app reporting tools or by contacting support. Reported content may be reviewed by SalonSynq and may be temporarily hidden while we assess it. Repeated or serious misuse may lead to account restrictions, suspension, or termination.
13. Availability and changes
We aim to keep SalonSynq reliable and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may update, improve, suspend, or remove features where needed for security, reliability, legal compliance, product improvement, or commercial reasons.
Where a change materially affects paid features, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected users.
14. Third-party services
SalonSynq integrates with third-party services such as payment providers, cloud hosting, authentication providers, mapping/address providers, email/SMS/push providers, analytics, and app stores. Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for third-party services except where required by law or caused by our own breach.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms, created risk for clients or SalonSynq, failed to pay amounts due, misused payment features, provided unlawful or misleading services, or created security, fraud, legal, or operational risk.
You may stop using SalonSynq or request account deletion through the app. Deletion may be delayed or blocked where there are pending appointments, refunds, payouts, disputes, legal obligations, or other operational issues.
16. Intellectual property
SalonSynq, including its software, design, branding, workflows, documentation, and content, belongs to SalonSynq or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use SalonSynq for your business while you comply with these Terms.
You retain rights in your business name, logo, images, service descriptions, and other content you provide, but you grant SalonSynq permission to host, display, process, transmit, and use that content as needed to provide and improve the service.
17. Liability
SalonSynq is a software platform. We are not responsible for the salon or personal care services provided by businesses using the platform.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, SalonSynq is not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, loss of business opportunity, or losses caused by your inaccurate information, client disputes, third-party services, payment-provider decisions, or misuse of the platform.
Any liability cap should be reviewed by a solicitor before launch.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives a consumer or other party mandatory rights in another jurisdiction.
